Somewhere in town, you might run into a Journeyman Electrician named Gabe Lucero. You may have already met him.
Take a closer look and you’ll find a Rising Star Songwriter. Gabe has been writing songs since he was in high school. He’s worked with songwriting legends like Kostas and James Dean Hicks!
Gabe is a member of the National Academy of Songwriters, and his latest album, Juice, was recorded in 2020 with Joel Racheff who’s been on the show before, Doug Eagle, Steve Dejka who plays in the Kirk James Blues Band, and Ted Hockenbury who plays in Chevel Shepherd’s band.
The song, Dog-gone Shame, on that album won the best Western song at the New Mexico Music Awards in 2021. He continues to hone his skills in Nashville and Red Lodge, Montana. Perhaps he’ll add to the 5 awards he’s received for his songwriting abilities.
We don’t have the equipment to let Gabe bring his dad’s ’62 Fender Jaguar, but we’ll get some great unplugged versions out of him I’m sure.
