The Weatherman in the Desert (S02E18)
Steve Stucker on Ken’s Think Tank Season 2, Episode 18
“I love being a weatherman here.”
“I grew up in the Midwest. When I go back, which is not too often, because this is home . . . I’ve lived here much longer than I lived up there, even though I grew up there, so to me . . . this is my home town. But, when I go up the Midwest and I run into old friends from high school, they’ll say ‘Oh, weatherman in the desert . . . now there’s a tough job!’ You’d be surprised because with Roswell, and the Four Corners, and the high mountains, we can have a lot to talk about and stay pretty active and have some crazy diversity in the weather department all in the same day.”
“I don’t need tropical storms and tornados and massive floods to keep me happy as a weather guy. I’m perfectly fine with what we’ve got.”
“I love summer days. Sunny and 92 with 10% humidity. You can’t beat it.”
“And, I get away with spending the afternoon floating in the pool and writing that off as research. Just studying the cloud formations. Not a lot of people can say that.”
