Put Your Pants On & Take Your Shoes Off! (S01E08)
Carol May on Ken’s Think Tank Season 1, Episode 8
What was the craziest thing that ever happened at Parks & Rec?
“Hmmmm. I don’t know if I should tell you the craziest thing that ever happened.”
“It was catching a scorekeeper in a press box after a ballgame . . . getting it on with one of the players.”
Well . . . they’re young and sometimes you just can’t help it I guess.
“Yes, sometimes hormones take over . . . and there you are.”
“Another crazy thing . . . I used to be in charge of the museum, and we had a thing called the shadow room which had film emulsion paper on the walls. A strobe light would flash, and kids would make crazy shadows and it would freeze their shadow on the emulsion paper for a few seconds.”
“One time . . . I was at the museum and the lady who worked there for us part time comes running in and said ‘Carol, we have a problem.’ I said ‘What’s that?’ And we had a rule that you had to take your shoes off so you wouldn’t scuff the emulsion paper and rip it. She said, ‘We have two adults in there and they’re making shadows with . . . body parts.’ We had various appendages making shadows on the wall.”
“She didn’t know what to tell them other than . . . You need to take your shoes off!”
