“She told me her name in a dream.  Her name was Molly Pickett.  She spoke to me in the same voice that I write “The Haunting of Molly Pickett” in.”

“I wrote a book, and it started with this girl’s story.  She told me her name at night.  The next day, I was looking up at the hills in San Bernardino – the San Bernardino Mountains – and she told me her story.  She was left by her parents, turned to prostitution, and she ended up selling her soul to something in a haunted gold mine.  Something.  She ended up having an offspring.  You gotta read the rest of the book to find out what happened to her and the offspring.”

“Molly Pickett wrote the prologue.  I just listened and scribbled it down and typed it up.”​
